Dear Parents and Guardians

We wish all of our mothers and grandmothers a very special day this weekend.  Thank you for everything that you do for our students and their families.  I hope that this Sunday you are deservedly spoilt and surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Mothers Day Stall

A big thank you to our Parents and Friends for organising another very successful Mother’s Day stall.  It was great to see so many parents helping out on the day.  There is always a lot of enthusiasm and excitement for the Mother’s Day stall at St Cuthbert’s.

Harmony Day

Thank you to all of the families who shared information and food about their culture at our recent Harmony Day celebration. It was a wonderful example of the diversity that exists within our school community.  A special thank you to Ms Chantel Mitchell for organising and coordinating this event.

Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month – Supporting Henry!

CF_Image.png
Henry_Pretyman.png

The month of May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month, and we are proud to support one of our own — Henry Pretyman, a kind and courageous Kindergarten student who lives with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). This year, Henry has been chosen as the Masked Ambassador for Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania—a fantastic honour!

To help raise awareness about CF, Henry will be participating in the 2.7km event at the City to Casino Fun Run on Saturday, May 18th. It would be wonderful to see as many of our students as possible running alongside him, dressed in red in support. To register, simply visit the City to Casino website https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/tnvKCP7x6nh4VDZnczfpfxlorP?domain=citytocasino25.grassrootz.com

Start Time: 7:55am (target aged 12 and under, children must be accompanied by an adult)

Start Location: Salamanca Place, Hobart, opposite the Supreme Court steps.

Finish Line: Wrest Point Casino

In addition to the fun run, we will also be holding a “Red Day” at school on Tuesday May 20th. On this day, students can come dressed in red (the official CF awareness colour) in exchange for a gold coin donation. All proceeds will go directly to Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania to support ongoing research and care programs.

Recently, our staff attended a professional learning day focused on Cystic Fibrosis. We were inspired to learn about the exciting breakthroughs in research and improvements in care that are making a real difference in the lives of those with CF.

Let’s show our support for Henry and raise awareness for this important cause!

Regards,
Marcus Donnelly,
Principal
