Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Guardians
We have had a very busy couple of weeks at St Cuthbert’s:
John Maddin - Music Incursion
The John Maddin Music Incursion is always a big hit at St Cuthbert’s! Students from Grades 3- 6 had a wow of a time playing an assortment of weird and wonderful instruments, all made by John from recycled materials. A special concert was held at the end of the day with our students performing a variety of pieces in front of the whole school. The concert also featured some very memorable performances from St Cuthbert’s staff!

Cross Country
The school cross country was hosted in perfect weather at Geilston Bay. We were so lucky with the warm temperatures and settled conditions. Parents and staff offered fantastic support, cheering enthusiastically for the students as they participated in their races. The MacKillop students were particularly helpful and a special big thank you to Mrs Louise Wright for helping with the adjudication. The new house marquees splashed some colour along the track, and were a great addition to the carnival. It was a wonderful day. Thanks to Moto Vecchia for coming along as well.
Well done to the Presentation House for their big win! Scores as follows:
First Place - Presentation (602 points)
Second Place - Rogers (544 points)
Third Place - Flynn (388 points)

Parents and Friends
I would like to acknowledge and thank our Parents and Friends for generously supporting the purchase of additional teaching resources across the school with a donation of $4,000.00 at our recent P and F meeting. The funding will be used to purchase IT equipment, new nativity costumes, mathematics resources and resources for the Art room.
I am also delighted to announce, thanks to the support of the P and F, that our whole school dance program is back on again this year! The dance program runs over a 10 week period and will culminate in a whole school performance at MacKillop College on Monday, November 3.
School Zone Speed Limit
A reminder to parents and guardians to comply with the 40km/hr speed limit in the school zone. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.
