Walking in Faith: Preparing for Pentecost and Confirmation
As we journey through the final weeks of the Easter season, our St. Cuthbert’s school community turns its focus toward Pentecost—the moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, igniting the birth of the Church. Celebrated 50 days after Easter, Pentecost marks the conclusion of the Easter season and the beginning of the Church's mission in the world.
In our classrooms, students are deepening their understanding of the Sacraments—visible signs of God's invisible grace. These sacred rituals, instituted by Christ, serve as tangible expressions of God's presence and love in our lives. Through the Sacraments, we encounter God's grace in a personal and transformative way.
We extend our heartfelt prayers and support to our Sacramental candidates—Zac Casillan, Hamish Davie, Tareq Frjo and all others across the Bellerive-Lindisfarne parish—as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday, 18th June at Corpus Christi Church. Confirmation strengthens the grace of Baptism, sealing the candidates with the gift of the Holy Spirit and empowering them to live out their faith with courage and conviction.
As a community, let us continue to support and pray for our candidates, asking the Holy Spirit to guide them on their spiritual journey. May this time of preparation deepen their faith and inspire them to be witnesses of Christ's love in the world.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Kinder to Grade 2 – Grandparents & Special Persons Day
Date: Wednesday, 18th June
Time: 2pm-3pm
In Week 8, we warmly invite grandparents and special people in the lives of our Kindergarten to Grade 2 students to join us at school for a special afternoon.
This event is a wonderful opportunity for grandparents or other significant adults to spend meaningful time with their grandchild, visit their classroom, and take part in some simple, joyful activities together.
To make this day more manageable for families with multiple children, Grades 3–6 will host their Grandparents and Special Persons Day in Term 3. This way, special guests can enjoy dedicated time with each grandchild.
Classroom visits and activities will begin at 2:00 PM, and more detailed information will be shared from class teachers in the coming weeks.
We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you!
