Enrolments

All children are welcome at St Cuthbert's Catholic School regardless of their religious background.

Families are invited to apply for enrolment into kindergarten in the year prior to commencement. Applications for our 2020 kindergarten class are due by 30 April 2019. Applications for all other grade levels may be accepted throughout the year pending availability.

All families who apply for enrolment at St Cuthbert's will be invited to meet with the Principal to discuss their child's enrolment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Children need to be 4 years of age by 1 January to commence kinder. Children commencing prep need to be 5 years of age by 1 January.

ORIENTATION

An Orientation Day is held in Term 4 for children commencing kindergarten or prep the following year. The Orientation Day is usually conducted by Class Teachers. It offers families the opportunity to familiarise themselves with staff and with School processes to ease the transition into schooling.

SCHOOL FEES

St Cuthbert's fees and levies are set annually. School fees and levies are necessary to supplement State and Commonwealth grants, provide sufficient funds to operate the school, and provide support for the educational environment and structure of the school.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

There may be some families who don’t enrol their children in Catholic schools because of concerns about the level of fees and levies charged.

Catholic schools are accessible to all families willing to support the Catholic ethos regardless of their personal, financial and pastoral circumstances. No child will be denied a place in a Catholic school because of financial hardship.

Families who are interested in Catholic education and feel they could benefit from financial support are encouraged to contact the School. All enquiries are managed sensitively and within privacy guidelines.

CONTINUING YOUR CHILD'S CATHOLIC EDUCATION

The majority of our students continue their education at MacKillop Catholic College, St Mary’s College or St Virgil’s College.

St Cuthbert's is a feeder school for these Colleges and families interested in continuing within the Catholic education system of schools and colleges are invited to contact the Colleges directly to discuss their child’s enrolment. Our Grade 5/6 classes visit the Colleges as part of their transition to Year 7.
