Religious Education
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
At St Cuthbert's Catholic School, your child will receive religious education aimed at fostering a love of God and each other. This is achieved through the development of Christian attitudes, celebrations, awareness of Church community, parent communication and enrichment, knowledge of faith, and church and Gospel teachings.
The Good News for Living curriculum framework is utilised to support your child's religious education. Your child will further enhance their understanding of Christian values through participation in our outreach programs, for example through support for the St Vincent de Paul Society, and engaging in community activities and ceremonies.
VALUES EDUCATION
Your child will also develop an awareness of the impact they can have through our Spirit of Jesus and Make Jesus Real programs. These programs are designed to support students in their day-to-day living out of Gospel values.
Special school Masses are held at the beginning of the year (Mass of Blessing) and at the end of the year (Mass of Thanksgiving). These are held in the Church of the Incarnation in Lindisfarne. All in the School community are invited to attend.
We also nurture the spirituality of our staff through opportunities to engage in prayer and reflection.
